NisaBakri Asam Pedas Tuanku paste is inspired by the wonderful spices from Southern part of Malaysia and  flavoured with aromatic bunga kantan and laksa leaves, tempered in oil with chilli paste (optional), with a variety of spices (optional) for a tantalising  Asam Fish dish.
Asam Pedas is one of the most popular dish in Malaysian homes. This dish is a must have in every home anytime of the day. This recipe was inspired by Nisa Bakri's late Mama who used to make very tasty and delicious asam pedas, and we received a  very many testimony from our repeated customers as the best Asam Fish paste in the world!

This paste makes it easy for those looking for a quick, simple and delicious way to cook up a home-made dish. Just need to "tumis" (saute) add other raw ingredients, water and coconut milk (optional), and serve, as fast at 20 minutes! 

Perfect for the newly weds, travellers, campers, single parents, singles living alone, new home owners, busy housewives, busy working people or simply someone who wants to learn to cook the authentic way.

HOW TO COOK?

1- Heat oil in a pot. 

2- Sauté paste with water and mix well.

3- Add torch ginger (bunga kantan) and Vietnamese coriander (daun kesum).

4- Add dried chilli paste (cili giling), water and stir until 'pecah minyak' (oil split).

5- Add in tomato and lady's fingers (bendi).

6- Once water boils, add in fish, chilli, remaining torch ginger and Vietnamese coriander.

7- Cover pot for 8 minutes or until fish is cooked.

Tamarind Paste (11%), Onion (16%), Lemongrass, Chilli (41%), Sugar, Salt and Edible Palm Oil.
